Causes We Support

Causes Close to Our Hearts

Over the years, through our travels, life abroad, and being rooted in a warm and welcoming community, we’ve embraced several causes that mean the world to us. Though they may vary greatly, each one reflects our passion for making a real impact—whether in the lives of people or animals. These causes shape who we are and inspire everything we do at Frozen Yogi.

Institute Mosintuwu

Poso, Indonesia

The MOSINTUWU Institute is an association of people who work for peace efforts during and after conflicts in the Poso Regency area and its surroundings on the island of Sulawesi, in Indonesia. The MOSINTUWU Institute was founded out of concern for violent incidents in the name of religion, and the existence of political economic interests behind violent conflicts that end in the management of natural resources that do not favor the poor and marginalized.

The Mosintuwu Institute itself was born through a long process. Research on women and children conducted by Lian Gogali, since 2005 in Poso, became the starting point for the birth of the Mosintuwu Institute. In her research, Lian Gogali found the dynamics and perspectives of women that illustrate the strength of women's experience and knowledge in building peace in Poso. Lian also found strong economic and political dynamics in the Poso conflict, which also influenced the violent conflict and ignored the need for peace rooted in grassroots communities.

The Mosintuwu Institute started the movement as a grassroots women's movement. Critical education through the Mosintuwu Women's School became the first step of the Mosintuwu movement.

Mission Pawsible

Bali, Indonesia

MISSION PAWS’IBLE WAS CREATED IN 2015 WITH ONE
MISSION: TO CONNECT LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE SAVING ANIMAL'S LIVES - AND SO A COMMUNITY WAS BORN.

Prue Barber, the founder and solo rescuer of Mission Paws’ible, shares her story of transitioning from a successful career in graphic design to dedicating her life to saving sick and injured animals.

BARBER SAYS, “AFTER YEARS OF TRAVELLING AND WITNESSING ANIMAL SUFFERING IN NEPAL, INDIA, MALAYSIA, THAILAND, AND INDONESIA, I DECIDED TO TAKE ACTION.”

In Bali, Barber offered her design and marketing services pro bono to various animal projects but soon realised that the charity model needed a refresh to continue engaging with pet lovers of the 21st century.
